The price of hot-rolled coil (HRC) in the European market has been stable recently. The market is paying attention to new safeguard measures proposed by the European Union. 

As local prices in Europe rise, prices of imported HRC are likely to follow suit. The EU's new safeguard measure restricts import quotas, which is believed to have a limited impact. In contrast, Japan and Vietnam's HRC will be levied anti-dumping duties of 12~33%, which will have a great impact. 

Besides, European steel mills also said that the related impact of import quota cuts was limited, and market transactions were slightly suppressed. Therefore, if imported buying sentiment does not cool down, this wave of HRC price increases may be difficult to maintain.
