According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending March 15, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.667 million net tons, slightly decreasing by 0.2% from the same period a week ago and dropping by 1.7% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 74.9%, falling by 0.1% week on week and by 1.5% year on year.

As of the week ending March 15, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 17.517 million short tons, sliding by 1.3% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 74.4%, dropping by 1.4% year on year.
