Aluminum Surface Finishes & Protection

Surface Finishes Description Features Protection
Mill Finish The natural finish of aluminum after rolling, without additional processing. Non-uniform reflectivity, and a slightly rough surface with a matte or dull metallic sheen. Paper interleaved, PE/PVC filming (if specified)
Anodizing An electrochemical process that thickens the natural oxide layer on the aluminum surface. Enhances corrosion resistance, hardness, and allows for coloring.
Powder Coating A dry finishing process where a powder is electrostatically applied and cured under heat. Durable, colorful, and resistant to chipping, scratching, and fading.
Brushed Finish The surface is mechanically polished to create a uniform satin texture. Decorative, with a linear grain and reduced reflectivity.
Mirror Finish (Polishing) The aluminum sheet is polished to a highly reflective, mirror-like surface. Smooth, glossy, and highly reflective.
Embossing The aluminum sheet is passed through rollers that emboss a raised or patterned texture on the surface. Adds visual appeal and increases strength and rigidity.

Packaging of Aluminum Coil and Strip

Protective Wrapping Edge Protection and Cushioning Securing and Palletizing
Aluminum Coils and Strips are carefully wrapped with waterproof materials, such as plastic film or kraft paper, to shield against moisture, dust, and contamination in transit. Edge protectors and padding are applied around the coils to prevent physical damage, dents, or scratches during handling and shipping. The wrapped coils are securely strapped to wooden or metal pallets using durable steel or plastic bands, ensuring stability and safety in transit.
