Bashundhara Multi Steel Industries Limited (BMSIL) planned to revolutionize Bangladesh's steel production sector with the establishment of the world's largest single-strand mini mill project for long steel products. Located in Mirsarai, Chattogram, the company aims to start production by mid-2026 using modern, environmentally friendly technology from Danieli's MIDA®-Q.

The project has an annual capacity of 1.25 million tons and will directly employ more than 3,000 workers. It will help save around US$250 million in foreign currency by substituting wire rod imports.

The project will meet domestic steel demand and contribute to foreign exchange savings. Besides, this new facility will make BMSIL the first company in Bangladesh to produce rebar coils and wire rods.
