According to data from Taiwan's Ministry of Finance, Taiwan's steel exports and imports increased significantly in February. Taiwan's steel exports from January to February were US$2.41 billion, down by 7.5% year on year. Among them, exports in February were US$1.31 billion, up by 18.4% month on month and 14.3% year on year. Shipments to the United States and Japan ranked first and second, increasing by 2.1% and 0.6% respectively.
Taiwan's steel imports from January to February were US$1.96 billion, up by 9.4% year-on-year. Among them, imports in February were US$1.01 billion, growing by 6.6% month on month and 35.7% year on year. The supply from Indonesia and Japan surged, ranking first and second.
