Japan's ferrous scrap exports during the first two months of this year amounted to approximately 1.2 million tons, a 12.8% year-on-year increase.

Among the primary destinations, Vietnam was the leading importer, with imports of around 551,000 tons, a hike of 16% compared to the same period a year ago. South Korea and Bangladesh followed in rank, importing roughly 242,000 tons and 102,000 tons, respectively, falling by 23% and rising by 262% year on year.

In February alone, Japan's ferrous scrap exports totaled roughly 665,000 tons, indicating a year-on-year increase of 6%.
