According to statistics from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), Germany's crude steel production totaled around 2.7 million tons in February, decreasing by 13.5% compared to the same month a year ago.

During the period, the production of hot-rolled steel was down by 17% to 2.4 million tons, and that of pig iron fell by 16% to roughly 1.7 million tons, both on a year-on-year basis.

In the first two months of this year, Germany's crude steel output amounted to roughly 5.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13%. Hot-rolled steel and pig iron output reached 4.9 million tons and 3.4 million tons, down by 16% and 13% year on year, respectively.
