Taiwan's China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced an increase in its prices for cold-rolled coils and hot-rolled coils/ plates by NT$500/ton for April. It was expected that Taiwanese pipe mills might follow to increase their prices for April. Although the demand is still weak, some customers will purchase for inventory. 

The shipment situation from the steel pipe factories has been smooth recently. Some of Taiwan's galvanizing plants have already notified their customers at the beginning of the week that the price will be increased in the range of NT$500 to 600/ton. After that, the transaction price rose in the market. It was estimated that more downstream customers would replenish materials.
