Malcolm Clarke, a steel service center based in Manchester, UK, will close by summer 2025. The company said all current and new orders will be fulfilled, and suppliers will be paid before the closure. The winding down may extend slightly beyond June.

In its June 2024 financial results, Malcolm Clarke confirmed it would stop trading due to ongoing market instability and permanent structural changes. It said conditions have made it too hard for small- to medium-sized firms to operate.
