Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) has signed a definitive sale and purchase agreement with AMB Holdings Pty Ltd to acquire a 15% interest in the Rhodes Ridge iron ore project in Australia, completing the deal previously announced on February 19 this year.

The acquisition price remains unchanged at US$2,003 million (around 300 billion yen), including stamp duty.

The completion of this acquisition is expected within FY March 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The impact on Mitsui’s FY March 2025 consolidated financial results is expected to be minor.
