The Argentine steelmaker Pradecon, part of the Govan Group, is dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of steel products. In order to double its production, the company invested US$20 million to build a new plant near Buenos Aires.
With this new plant, Pradecon now owns a 35,000 square-meter facility, which will help the company achieve its goal of growing its business by 10% to 15% this year, although there could be high imports into the country.
A positive point for Pradecon is it does not export directly, so it will not be affected by the US' 25% tariff on all imported steel products.
