I-Shou Lin, the founder of E United Group, said at the spring banquet last night (February 7) that global geopolitical wars in recent years have led to the steel industry's sluggish performance. Still, he predicted that US President Trump, due to his entrepreneurial identity, would work to end the war, expected to be within one year, which could drive post-war reconstruction and growth in steel demand and bring a turning point to the industry.

E United Group is promoting transformation, strengthening ESG (environmental, social, and governance), and introducing low-carbon equipment to reduce emissions. It also develops consumer, entertainment, and real estate businesses. Benefiting from TSMC's (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited) factory in Kaohsiung, the leisure industry has a promising future but will face labor shortages in the short term.

I-Shou Lin emphasized that his group spans the upstream and downstream of the industry, and called on the government and China Steel Corporation (CSC) to support downstream industries to maintain Taiwan's steel competitiveness. He also said that the group upgraded equipment to increase production capacity and reduce costs, thereby strengthening competitiveness.
