Aperam raises European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Oct

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products for October.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 2,193/ton from September’s EUR 2,179/ton; that for 316 was increased to EUR 3,753/ton from EUR 3,723/ton in the previous month; that of 309S (1.4833), used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was EUR 2,974/ton, same as that in September; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 (1.4512) was increased to EUR 800/ton from the previous month’s EUR 761/ton.

The new surcharge will be applicable on October 1, 2023.
