US President Trump announced the implementation of reciprocal tariffs worldwide on April 3. Taiwan's market is currently in a wait-and-see mode.

The US will impose 10% universal tariffs on April 5 and reciprocal tariffs on April 9. The carbon steel plate market, covering hot rolled, cold rolled, and galvanized steel, has experienced price stagnation due to weak demand and policy uncertainty. 

Additionally, some steel mills were concerned that domestic demand may shift in response to the US tariff policy. Most buyers and sellers are adopting a cautious approach.
