Taiwan's imports of slab have exceeded 160,000 tons for two consecutive months this year, reaching a new high in the past year.

Imports in January were approximately 170,000 tons, and those in February were 165,000 tons. Among them, the source from Japan was around 25,000 tons in January, while it surged to 75,000 tons in February, accounting for nearly 50% of the total, a record high in recent years.

Imports from Russia were around 104,000 tons in January and dropped to 49,000 tons in February. Saudi Arabia's supply was about 40,000 tons in February, with little change from January. Imports from China were 1,125 tons in February, doubling from January.
