China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steel manufacturer in Taiwan, is scheduled to announce its new wire rod prices for the second quarter on March 18. 

Iron ore and coal prices have decreased recently and could lower steel production costs. However, the demand remained weak and didn't have any improvement. 

China's major steel mills increased the prices for March due to government macroeconomic policies, while Vietnam steel mills dropped the price for April. 

According to the market understanding, there are many uncertainties because of US President Trump's tariff policy. The downstream fastener industry hoped CSC could maintain the price for the second quarter.
