According to customs statistics, Taiwan imported around 48,800 tons of cold-rolled steel in March, soaring by 332% compared to the previous month. The largest import source was China, with 41,000 tons, followed by Japan’s 5,100 tons and South Korea’s 2,800 tons.

In terms of exports, Taiwan shipped out roughly 59,600 tons in March, a decline of 2.5% from the previous month. Japan remained the top export destination with 22,100 tons, accounting for nearly half of total exports. Other major destinations included the US (10,500 tons), Malaysia (9,500 tons), China (4,000 tons), and Thailand (2,200 tons).

It was worth noting that exports to European countries such as Portugal, Belgium, Spain, and Italy dropped to zero.
