The Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC) has warned that the North American tariff situation will weaken the supply chain and destroy the province's economy.

Tariffs will weaken existing supply chains and enhance the power of competitors. MABC stated that out of the 50 minerals that the US considers crucial to national interests, British Columbia produces 16 of them. 

The instability and uncertainty of Trump's government highlight that British Columbia and the federal government must establish partnerships with aborigines as soon as possible and simplify the licensing process in order to build new mines in accordance with provincial and national interests.
