According to Taiwan Customs data, Taiwan's imports of hot-dip galvanized steel in January 2025 were 15,949 tons, up 6.2% from the previous month. The main sources of imports were Asian countries. The top three were China, South Korea, and Thailand, with 5,357 tons, 4,539 tons, and 3,032 tons, respectively. 

China's imports increased threefold from the previous month, while Vietnam, which ranked first in imports last month, reduced its imports from nearly 5,500 tons to 1,093 tons.

In January, the export volume of hot-dip galvanized steel was 42,091 tons, down about 50% from the previous month. The main reason was the reduction in sales to Europe and North America. The top three export countries were China, Spain, and Thailand, with 11,461 tons, 10,507 tons, and 4,605 ​​tons, respectively.
