According to Taiwan Customs data, Taiwan imported 28,506 tons of steel plates in January this year, a 15% increase from the previous month. Japan ranked first in steel plate imports in January, at 14,618 tons, followed by South Korea at 12,916 tons.

In January, imports from South Korea and Japan totaled 5,361 tons and 4,169 tons of steel plates with a thickness of more than 50 mm, respectively. 

In terms of imports of steel plates with a thickness of more than 6 mm and less than 50 mm, imports from Japan and South Korea were 10,449 tons and 7,555 tons, respectively.
