Pennsylvania Governor opposes Nippon Steel's bid for U.S. Steel

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced that he opposes Nippon Steel's bid to acquire U.S. Steel due to the United Steelworkers union's disagreement about the merger.

He further emphasized his worries about the future of U.S. Steel manufacturing in Pennsylvania. Shapiro added that if he doesn't see a future where U.S. steel manufacturing continues here and expands, he will have serious concerns.
