India's SAIL plans to expand steel capacity to 35 million tons

SAIL, a steel mill in India, has five integrated steel mills and three special steel plants. They are planning to upgrade their steel capacity to 35 million tons, the CEO Mr. Amarendu Prakash said. The target capacity is only the first stage of the group's expansion. The plan is ongoing with the detailed report under discussion, but the time frame and the investment amount were not revealed.

Apart from capacity expansion, SAIL is striving to apply new technology and improve logistic facilities to increase the efficiency of the transportation of raw materials and finished cargo shipping.
