According to a notice on February 6, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has concluded its anti-dumping (AD) expiry review investigation on hollow structural sections originating in or exported from Turkey and South Korea, determining that the expiry of the existing AD order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the subject products from the two countries.

The AD duty rate assigned to Turkey and South Korea is 89% of the export price, and the products involved are structural tubing known as hollow structural sections made of carbon and alloy steel, welded, up to 16.0 inches O.D. for round products and 48.0 inches periphery for rectangular/square products, classified under tariff codes 7306.30.00.41, 7306.30.00.51, 7306.30.00.61, 7306.30.00.71, 7306.30.00.89, 7306.50.00.00, 7306.61.00.39, and 7306.61.00.49.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will carry out an investigation to assess if the expiration of this AD order could potentially harm the Canadian industry, with a decision expected no later than July 16, 2025.
