Poland's Hynfra plans to invest $1.6 billion in green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Egypt

Polish group Hynfra will build a green hydrogen and green ammonia production plant in Egypt with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year, with an initial investment of US$1.6 billion.

The first phase of construction is said to be completed by 2030 and will utilize local wind and solar power to produce hydrogen and ammonia.

Hynfra said the plant will be an important part of the development of a coherent ammonia logistics system aimed at connecting production plants and ammonia centers in Europe, North Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula.
