Turkey’s rebar exports slightly grow in Q1-Q3 y-o-y

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey exported around 2.5 million tons of rebar in the first three quarters of this year, slightly hiking by 1% compared to the corresponding period a year ago. The export value was down by 7% year on year to around US$1.5 billion.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Yemen (458,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17%), Romania (197,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 540%), and Albania (165,000 tons, a year-on-year jump of 230%).

In September alone, Turkey's rebar exports totaled approximately 336,000 tons, a month-on-month growth of 10% and a year-on-year decrease of 17%. These exports were worth around US$194 million, down by 16% month on month and rising by 8% year on year.
