According to data from the WorldSteel Association, in August, steel production from French steel enterprises decreased by 8.6% year on year and kept flat month on month to about 800,000 tons.

In the first eight months, the steel output from French steel manufacturers amounted to 6.46 million tons, dropping by 25.9% compared to the same period last year.

Besides, the EU’s steel output in August went down by 4.4% year on year to 9.1 million tons. From January to August, the output in the EU totaled around 85.7 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.8%.
