Posco Future increases investment at Canada battery material plant

General Motors Co and South Korea’s POSCO Future M announced that they would increase investment to expand the production capacity at their chemical battery material plant in Canada. The estimated total investment will be over US$1 billion.

The new investment will be applied in additional facilities for major minerals used in electric vehicle (EV) batteries at their joint venture Ultium CAM plant. The new plant was expected to be put into operation in 2025.
