31 May 2023 15:09 reported by Joy Liu

Jamalco, a bauxite mining and alumina refinery in Jamaica, is seeking incorporation to attract investment for the company’s development, and it is also an opportunity to increase access to capital abroad.

Century Aluminum owns 55% of Jamalco, and Clarendon Alumina Production Limited (CAP) holds the remaining 45% on behalf of the Government of Jamaica. The incorporation would remove the joint venture obligations of the Jamaican Government.
