US’ rig count decreases, Canada’s rises w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on May 26, the US’ rotary rig count was down by 9 units to 711 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas decreased by 4 units to 137 units, and that for oil fell by 5 units to 570 units. The total number had a year-on-year decrease of 16 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count rose by 2 units to 87 units compared to the previous week. Canada’s rig number totally decreased by 16 units from the same period a year ago.
