Nucor Corp., a steel and related products producer in America, announced that it will cease operations of its Longview plant in Texas. All staff will obtain job opportunities at other Nucor divisions.

The annual capacity of the Longview mill was 100,000 tons, and the volume will be covered by Nucor’s new mill in Brandenburg, Kentucky, and other Nucor plants.

The Longview mill was acquired by Nucor in 2016 with approximately US$29 million.
