Klöckner & Co, a German producer-independent steel and metal distributor, and Salzgitter Group have signed a partnership in the transformation process to a green steel industry and further increase the supply of green steel on the market.

According to the cooperation, the Salzgitter Group will deliver low CO2 emission steel via the new hydrogen-based SALCOS® production route to Becker Stahl-Service GmbH, a subsidiary of Klöckner & Co.

Salzgitter targeted to reduce the emissions of steel production by around 95% by the end of 2033.
