US’ OCTG exports hike in Mar y-o-y

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 24,600 tons of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) in March this year, decreasing by 7% compared to the previous month but rising by 12% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling 18,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 12.7% and a year-on-year hike of 10.9%. Mexico ranked second with roughly 1,800 tons, followed by Spain’s 1,700 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$48 million, down by 3% month on month and up by 0.8% year on year.
