US & Canada’s rig counts fall w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on May 19, the US’ rotary rig count was down by 11 units to 720 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas kept flat at 141 units, and that for oil decreased by 11 units to 575 units. The total number had a year-on-year decrease of 8 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count fell by 9 units to 85 units compared to the previous week. Canada’s rig number totally decreased by 3 units from the same period a year ago.
