Colombia's iron ore production falls in Q4 2022 q-o-q, y-o-y

According to Colombia’s National Mining Agency (ANM), Colombia’s iron ore production totaled around 35,100 tons in the fourth quarter of 2022, falling by 55% compared to the preceding quarter and by nearly 78% from the same quarter a year earlier.

Among them, the production in the Boyacá department accounted for approximately 34,900 tons, and that in the Cauca department was around 100 tons.

In 2022, Colombia’s iron ore production amounted to roughly 412,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 35%.
