US’ CMC decides to acquire Tendon to strengthen position in construction sector

Commercial Metals Company (CMC), a steel and metal manufacturer based in Irving, Texas, decided to acquire Tendon Systems, LLC (Tendon), a leading provider of post-tensioning, barrier cable, and concrete restoration solutions applied in various construction types, including multi-family residential and parking structures. Tendon’s revenues were approximately US$60 million in the calendar year 2022.

CMC indicated that the acquisition strengthens its market position in construction reinforcement and complements its existing position in the post-tensioning cable.
