Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. decided to raise some product prices by up to 3% in April. Among them, H-shaped beams will be raised by 2.4% from this month to 127,000 yen per ton. Also, the steel bars, including rebar, will increase by 3% to 103,000 yen per ton. Other product prices will be kept flat.

The company indicated that redevelopment projects, semiconductors work, and large-scale logistics facilities strengthened the construction demand, further improving the steel market. Apart from that, the demand for thin sheets applied in automobile component was recovering, and heavy plates used in construction and industrial machinery sectors was stable.
