According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), in January this year, the US exported around 36,900 tons of section beams, including U, I, H, L, and T section steels, rising by 28% compared to the previous month and by 27% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 26,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 61.2% and a year-on-year hike of 21%. Mexico ranked second with around 10,100 tons.

During the period, the export value totaled roughly US$50 million, up by 33.1% month on month and by 26.1% year on year.
