US’ rig count increases, Canada’s decreases w-o-w

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on March 17, the US’ rotary rig count was up by 8 units to 754 units. Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas rose by 9 units to 162 units, and that for oil decreased by 1 unit week on week to 589 units. The total number had a year-on-year growth of 91 units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count decreased by 16 units to 207 units compared to the previous week. Canada’s rig number totally increased by 31 units from the same period a year ago.
