RUSAL posts increase in 2022 revenue

RUSAL, a global leading aluminum supplier in Russia, reported that the company’s revenue was US$13.974 billion in 2022, growing by 16.5% compared to the previous year.

During the period, the adjusted EBITDA was US$2.028 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 29.9%. The profit was US$1.793 billion, down by 44.4% year on year. The adjusted net profit was US$725 million, falling by 52.8% compared to the year-ago level.

In 2022, RUSAL’s aluminum production totaled 3.835 million tons, almost unchanged year on year. The aluminum sales slightly dropped by 0.2% year on year to 3.896 million tons.

Meanwhile, alumina output dropped by 2.83 year on year to 5.953 million tons due to the stopped production at the Nikolaev alumina refinery in Ukraine. Bauxite output was 12.32 million tons, down by 18% year on year.
