The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced on March 1, 2023 that it launched the first sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on aluminum foil imported from China.

Meanwhile, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) also initialized the first AD and CVD investigation on the subject products to see if the revocation of the existing measures will cause damage to the domestic industries continuously.

The interested parties need to reply to the USTIC before March 31, 2023 and submit the comments no later than May 11, 2023.

The USDOC launched the AD and CVD investigations first time on March 28, 2017, and made a final ruling to impose AD and CVD on China's aluminum foil on February 27, 2018.
