EU energy crisis eases, long-term worries remain

10 Mar 2023 17:19 reported by Mike Lo

A A A
Europe seems to have survived the energy crisis due to the warm winter and the active actions of the government. But the energy crisis still exists, and European countries may postpone the crisis for months or years.

The current challenge is balancing power consumption for people's livelihood and industry (including the steel industry) while eliminating the dependence on natural gas produced in Russia.

In addition, the addition of sustainable energy facilities and LNG import facilities cannot complete immediately. The war's high energy costs could lead to Europe's deindustrialization.
