Taiwan’s stainless steel scrap imports rise in Dec m-o-m

Last December, Taiwan’s stainless steel scrap imports increased by 7.5% month on month to about 30,000 tons, which have risen for five consecutive months and hit the monthly record high in the past four years.

Meanwhile, Taiwan's stainless steel scrap exports totaled about 1,800 tons, plunging by 44.7% from the previous month.

In the whole year of 2022, Taiwan imported about 145,000 tons of stainless steel scrap, decreasing by 24% year on year. At the same time, the exports amounted to about 61,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 16.5%.
