SeAH Gulf Special Steel Industries (SeAH GSI), a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company (Dussur) and South Korean steel manufacturer SeAH CSS, has kicked off the pioneer ceremony at the King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) in northern Saudi Arabia.

The investment cost of the new plant was estimated at 900 million riyals, covering an area of nearly 178,000 square meters, and will have an annual production capacity of 17,000 to 20,000 tons of stainless steel seamless pipes, which was expected to be put into operation in 2025.

The energy, refining, and chemical sectors will use stainless steel seamless pipes. These high-value-added products will reduce Saudi Arabia's imports and dependence on foreign countries.

SeAH GSI aimed to become a pioneer manufacturer of special steel pipes in Saudi Arabia by setting up production facilities in SPARK. The company planned to manufacture and supply 20,000 tons of high-value-added stainless steel seamless pipes through the facility established.
