Executive Vice President of US-based steelmaker Nucor Corporation, Mr. Behr, expected that the shipment in the first quarter of this year would reach 10,000 to 20,000 short tons, the number would probably be approximately 100,000 short tons in the second quarter, and the shipments in the following two quarters might in the 200,000 short tons level.

Mr. Behr estimated that Nucor's 2023 production will be half of its capacity of 1.2 million short tons per year, reaching 500,000 to 600,000 short tons. Besides, a new plate mill was expected to run at full capacity by the end of this year.
