Turkey's automobile sales soar in Jan y-o-y

According to Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD), Turkey's automobile sales volume was soaring by 33.5% year on year to approximately 51,000 units in January 2023. That's 54.5% higher than the average January sales over the past ten years.

Among them, sales of passenger vehicles increased by 28.5% year on year to about 37,000 units, and light commercial vehicles hiked by 49.3% year on year to around 13,600 units. EV sales reached roughly 1,100 units, up 8-fold year on year.

Turkish automakers expect total automobile sales to reach 750,000 to 800,000 units in 2023, the same level as in 2022.
