US Steel’s shipments decrease in Q4 & 2022 y-o-y

The US Steel indicated that its steel shipment in the fourth quarter of 2022 declined by 10% year on year to 3.37 million short tons. Meanwhile, its sales revenue was US$4.34 billion, decreasing by 23% year on year. The net earnings were US$174 million, plunging by 84% year on year.

In the whole year of 2022, its shipments totaled 14.94 short tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%. At the same time, its net earnings fell by 40% year on year to US$2.5 billion, but the sale revenue increased by 3.9% to US$21 billion.
