The Indonesian government has submitted a request for dispute consultations regarding the EU’s definitive anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on imports of stainless steel cold-rolled flat products originating in Indonesia, which were imposed in 2021 and 2022, to the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on January 26, 2023.

Indonesia said that the imposition of these tariffs reduced the competitiveness of Indonesian products, claiming that the EU’s measures appear to be inconsistent with WTO rules.
