According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global alumina production amounted to around 139 million tons in 2022, slightly rising by 0.31% compared to the previous year.

Among them, China’s production accounted for the largest proportion, with an output of nearly 78.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.57%.

In December alone, global alumina production reached 11.67 million tons, of which China’s output occupied 6.66 million tons. The global daily alumina production averaged 564,700 tons during the period, a slight growth of 0.28%.
