According to statistics, China’s primary aluminum production totaled 3.43 million tons in December last year, growing by 10.3% compared to the same month a year ago. Meanwhile, the output of aluminum products was 5.62 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.9%; that of alumina was 6.52 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%.

In the whole year 2022, China’s primary aluminum production amounted to 40.21 million tons, up by 4.5% year on year. The production of aluminum products slid by 1.4% year on year to 62.22 million tons, but the output of alumina grew by 5.6% year on year to 81.86 million tons.
