It was reported that the Mexican steel company Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) has zero production and its departments remained completely idle for more than a month.

A spokesman for the country's National Democratic Union indicated that since December last year, the company has been completely paralyzed, without producing a single ton of steel due to the economic crisis the company is facing.

Francisco Orduña Mangiola, the spokesman for AHMSA, revealed that US$300 million was required to reactivate the company, and for this, an association, sale, or investment of resources with international companies is negotiated.
